It is 10 miles from Plymouth, within a few miles of the beautiful Tamar Valley and Cornwall and just four miles from Tavistock, which was voted the best market town in England, 2004 Whether you want a peaceful and tranquil break away from it all or some healthy action in clear country air, we are the place for you. There are wonderful walks right from our door, or join one of the numerous guided walks available in the area. The Millenium cycle route (27) goes along our lane and horse riding, fishing and golfing are readily available...and if you really want to experience Dartmoor 'on the edge', you can always try rock climbing, hang gliding or canoeing. For those quieter moments, try a cup of tea and a magazine in our pretty garden or summer house. The charming nearby town of Tavistock is the gateway to the World Heritage Mining site and as well as being a gourmet's delight, is full of attractive small shops and 'The Wharf' arts centre. Countless attractions, such as beaches, gardens, National Trust properties, the Eden Project and the Tate Gallery at St. Ives are all easy day trips from us.
